Confessions of a Shopaholic

Well tonight is the second Presidential debate being held at...(drumroll please)...BELMONT UNIVERSITY in Nashville, Tennessee! Pretty cool, eh? This morning on WTHR (our local ABC affiliate) some idiot tried to call it "Beaumont University."

There is more exciting news---the trailer for "Confessions of a Shopaholic" (the movie) is now available! Check it out here.

Speaking of shopaholics...Jake and I just realized that we will have spent about $5k BEYOND our budget this year by the end of December. We are out of control. So to fix this issue, we have decided that as of January 1, 2009 there will be NO MORE big purchases (over $200) unless we determine it is absolutely necessary for our survival. We also plan to ask for LOADS of gift cards so that we can divide our shopping up throughout the year with those. It is sad because as much as I would like to blame poor Gub for his electronics spending, it is really my constant clothes shopping that is killing us. This will probably be the most important New Year's Resolution that we ever attempt to keep, but we are bound determined to keep it!
